FAR EAST MOVEMENT ANNOUNCE TOUR OF NZ THIS SEPTEMBER!
Champagne at the ready – fans are sure to rejoice at the news current ‘it’ band FAR EAST MOVEMENT are returning Australian shores and making their first trip to NZ this September for a series of shows!
The US electro-hop group rocketed to notoriety with smash hit ‘Like A G6’ and show no signs of settling down any time soon, especially now that their brand new album Dirty Bass (out through Universal) has been unleashed.
Latest single ‘Live My Life’ features Justin Bieber and has been described as an ‘anthemic all-night dance party’.
Having already toured alongside some of the biggest, hottest names in the business including Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Rihanna and Lil Wayne, Far East Movement can’t wait to take the party from the streets of LA back to the dance floors of Australia and New Zealand.
Far East Movement will be joined in Auckland, with Jupiter Project, they are the collaboration of vocalist Correia and music producer Marty Rich. The two met at an end of semester party while studying at college and went into the studio in 2009 to try their hand at producing tracks together. The result was a refreshing sound encompassing genres like indie rock, alternative hip-hop and electronica, gaining comparison to the likes of N.E.R.D, Theophilus London and Phoenix.
Singles ‘Catch Me’, and ‘Hook Up Girl’ have made waves at kiwi radio and the group are set to release their debut album later this year.

After a double platinum debut single and a gold album in New Zealand, Avalanche City are pleased to announce their EP launch and tour dates in North America. Avalanche City is the brainchild of Dave Baxter, a singer songwriter who wrote, produced, recorded and played every instrument on his debut album OUR NEW LIFE ABOVE THE GROUND, which was released July 8, 2011 in New Zealand. Baxter recorded the album in just one week.
Having toured the US 3 times already, Avalanche City will release a four-track ‘Love Love Love‘ EP in the US through Roadrunner Records on April 3, 2012. The first single ‘Love Love Love’ will go to radio in May 2012 with a full-length album to be released later this year. ‘Love Love Love’ debuted at #1 on the New Zealand singles charts.
Avalanche City will be playing showcases at SXSW and following that up with a tour with Fun. Fun. is best known for their hit single ‘We Are Young’ featuring Janelle Monae, which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard Digital Songs chart and the iTunes singles charts for over two weeks after being featured in the Chevrolet Chevy Sonic Super Bowl XLVI commercial.
In May the band head to London again where success is running high where the single ‘Love Love Love’ is currently on high rotation on BBC Radio 2 a station that boasts a loyal audience of 14.3M and also XFM. They are also playing the leading new music discovery festival in the UK – The Great Escape.
